Menu Maker Mom shows you the exact set-up I use for my coupon inserts. I don't print out that list like she says because I don't do my own coupon match-ups. Go to the other sites to find the deals for the week.
If you choose to clip some or all of your coupons, Money Saving Mom has a great system. If your kids are old enough, this a great way to get them involved. Have them clip coupons and start instilling good stewardship now.

Show Us Where You Live Friday - Living Room
Kelly over at Kelly's Korner is hosting a Show Us Where You Live Friday. This week is living rooms.
This is my living room looking in from the entrance. It is pretty simple. I would love to have more decorative things, but the boys are just a little too rough. The few things I have are kept up very high. :) We no longer have a coffee table in the room because it was just a springboard for too many adventures by the Crazys. The coffee table lays in waiting in our master closet for that day when it can return to its true purpose.
I made the slipcover for the couch out of some drop clothes that I found on sale several years ago. It has been wonderful to be able to toss it in the wash with bleach and get stains and filth out. Unfortuantely, the boys have begun to rip the seams out. I have a matching loveseat slipcover that is in another room right now which they have shredded. That's what can happened on a rainy day. Children and mommies can lose their minds. :) I think it is time to start sewing again. I'll put it on my list. Ha!
I love thes plates that I got at Pier 1 years ago. Lots of color.
Family pics
This is a little art niche on the entrance wall. I put my children's artwork in frames from Wal-mart (clearance), and I love them. My children love them too. They are so proud. I try to change them out for holidays too. It doesn't always happen though.
Here is the other side of the living room. I love this picture. The basket is full of shoes. One day I would like to get a red buffet to bring more color to this side of the room. Plus I think it would be a great place to store backpacks and shoes as the kids come in. I keep hoping I'll run across one at a garage sale or craiglist that I can then paint. I love a hunt!
This is our toy box. It was mine when I was little. When I got it from my mother is was pretty beaten up and a weird colored veneer. I primed it and spray painted it black. I made the cushion with some fabric that I found at Walmart for a $1. I think it turned out pretty well.

ShowUs Where You Live - Kitchen
Kelly over at Kelly's Korner is hosting a Show Us Where You Live Friday. She is starting with kitchens. I was a little scared at first because it made me actually realize how far out of hand the kitchen had gotten. What a mess! So I did some (really, a lot of) cleaning and took some pics.
Here is the kitchen from the breakfast area. It isn't big, but it has nice cornertops and appliances. The butcher block so doesn't fit in the space, but I love it. I'm a Navy wife, and I figure it will fit in the next house. Right? I can't get rid of it. Plus the bin underneath is where all the dirty bibs and washclothes go from cleaning up little ones.
Here is the kitchen from the dining room. The cabinets are great (although not my favorite color) because they stretch all the way to the ceiling. I can get so much stuff in them, and I do love the kitchen gadgets.
Below is a chalkboard that I made from posterboard, chalkboard paint, and some molding. I love this chalkboard. I change it for the holidays and birthdays, but most of the time it says "Guten Essen." This reminds me of when I met my husband, and we were students on an study abroad in Germany. It means Good Eating or Enjoy your meal or Bon Apetit.
Here is my pantry. What a mess!
Here is my kitchen table. I absolutely love this table. I bought it just before we moved from our last house while Pretty Boy was on deployment. Crazy #1 and I assembly it. It was a fun project. Now I love this table for new reasons. It can really take a beating. I think it still looks great, and it has been through a lot. The dark color hides markers. The chairs are very heavy and very hard to tip over. I love this table even if it is too big for the space. I'm sure it will fit perfectly in the next house. Military wives can always look forward to their next house because we know we will be moving soon.
I used to be such a stickler about not having anything of the refridgerator. It is still pretty bare, but I can't live without this whiteboard now. I have Mommy brain, and I would never know what I have planned for meals or what was it the freezer or what I needed at the store. I love lists.
I still haven't figured out what to do with the area above my fridge. Pictures hung on the wall look funny because they are so far back. I think I need to layer some stuff. Maybe a basket or something. I don't know.
Although my kitchen may be smaller than I want and the cabinets may not be my favorite color, the memories that we make there are wonderful. My sweet little chefs and I love to cook here.
